I make websites

A WordPress site that I inherited. I redesigned the template, keeping the same visual identity, but introducing some consistency.

I've written a couple of Gutenberg extensions for it because it's sometimes easier to write a new one than keep searching for someone else's extension.

Designed from scratch, written in HTML, using XSSI for a very rudimentary CMS.

I sometimes think I'd like to add some more pizzazz, but this site brings in new people about as fast as the club can handle them, so a better website wouldn't actually be an advantage.

This started with an existing HTML-only site with a very untidy design. I imported it into Perch and redesigned it, keeping the existing visual identity.

If I was doing it today, I'd make it a bit bigger, with wider margins betwen the coloured blocks because screens are bigger; but I think it stands up.

The City Clinic

Probably the most dated design on this page, but it looked fashionable when it was new.

Designed based on a single-page psd file from a designer and developed using Perch CMS (I miss Perch). The frontend is all hand-crafted HTML, including the image slider

St. George's Nursery

Built from scratch based on a single-page .psd from a designer.

Hand-crafted frontend, including the image carousel.

It's not the prettiest visual design, but it reflects the aesthetic of the hotel
